GAZA August 16. 2024 (Saba) - A leading source in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said that after we informed the mediators of the results of the Doha talks, we reaffirmed that the occupation entity does not want an agreement.
The source confirmed in a special statement to Al Jazeera on Friday evening, that the occupation entity continues to evade and obstruct and adheres to adding new conditions to obstruct the agreement.
It added that the new US proposal responds to the conditions of the occupation entity and identifies with them.
The source continued: We affirm in the movement our commitment to what we agreed to on the second of July, which is based on Biden's declaration and the Security Council resolution.
It called on the mediators to pressure the occupying entity and oblige it to implement what was agreed upon.
It stressed that any agreement must ensure the cessation of aggression against the Palestinian people and the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
It also stressed that any agreement must also include the provision of urgent relief and a real deal for the exchange of prisoners.
