The Secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council stated on Monday evening that the Iranian armed forces responded to the blatant aggression committed by the United States against Iranian nuclear sites and facilities by striking the U.S. Air Force base in Al-Udeid, Qatar.
In a statement published by the Iranian news agency "Tasnim," the Council said: "The number of missiles used in this successful operation was equal to the number of bombs the U.S. employed in its attack on Iranian nuclear facilities. Additionally, the base targeted in this operation by Iran's capable forces is located far from Qatari civilian areas and residential facilities."
The statement added: "This action does not pose any threat or danger to the brotherly and friendly state of Qatar or its noble people. The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms its commitment to preserving and continuing its amicable and historical relations with Qatar."
