Iranian President Masoud Pazeshkian stated on Monday that his country did not initiate the war nor desire it, but will not leave aggression unanswered.

In a post on his X account, Pazeshkian wrote: "We did not start the war, nor did we want it, but we will not leave any aggression against Greater Iran unanswered."

He added: "We will defend the security of this beloved homeland with all our being, and we will respond to every wound inflicted on Iran's body with faith, wisdom, and determination."

Concluding his message, he said: "O people, may God protect us."
