Washington - Saba:
The US Department of Homeland Security issued a memorandum on the threats threatening the United States following its intervention in the conflict between Israel and Iran and the attacks on sites inside the Islamic Republic.
"It is our duty to ensure the nation's security and to inform it, especially in times of conflict," US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a statement on Sunday.
She added that "the ongoing Israeli-Iranian conflict brings the potential for increased threats to the homeland in the form of potential cyberattacks, acts of violence, and anti-Semitic hate crimes."
The advisory will be in effect until September 22nd, and citizens are urged to report any threat of violence to local law enforcement agencies, FBI field offices, and others.
This comes after the United States launched a military strike against nuclear sites in Iran days after Israel launched a military attack on Iran.
Iran vowed to respond to the US attack, while US President Donald Trump warned Tehran against taking any steps, indicating that it would invite further and more forceful US strikes.
