TEHRAN April 28. 2024 (Saba) - A group of professors, students and employees of the University of Tehran has organized a protest in front of the main entrance to the university, in order to condemn the suppression and arrest of professors and students in American universities, who are protesting against the crimes of the Zionist enemy in the Gaza Strip, and the pivotal American role in continuing the genocide.
According to Iranian news agencies, the participants carried Palestinian flags and chanted the slogans “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” expressing their condemnation of the violence used by the American police against the students.
The participants stressed that these methods “will not work in silencing voices and suppressing freedom of expression.”
The student mobilization at the University of Tehran, the mobilization of faculty and staff, and other organizations at the University of Tehran sent an invitation to academics to attend this gathering.
This gathering comes at a time when protests in support of occupied Palestine and Gaza continue in more than 50 American universities, as student movements denouncing the pivotal American role in the continuation of the war of extermination practiced by the Zionist enemy are increasing.
