ANAA, May 3 (Saba) - Yemen's potato production in 2017 reached 240.446 tons in an agricultural area of 15.368 hectares, according to recent statistical data.
The data of the agricultural statistics obtains by Saba stated that the province of Ibb was ranked first among the provinces in production and cultivation of potatoes, where the production during the same year reached to 92.179 tons in the area of agriculture estimated to 5641 hectares, followed by the province of Dhamar, where the production reached to 78333 tons in an area estimated at 4925 hectares.
Dhamar province was ranked first in production to potato seeds by 50 percent of Yemen's seeds, followed by Ibb province with 30 percent and Amran by 20 percent.
