Sana’a – Saba:
The first phase of reorganizing public bus routes in several areas of Sana’a governorate was launched Saturday by Traffic Police Director-General Maj. Gen. Dr. Bakeel al-Barashi and the governorate’s Traffic Police Director Brig. Gen. Abdulrahman al-Ataki.
Al-Barashi said the move aims to regulate public transport, reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, and ensure service to key streets, following a transport needs study. The plan introduces six new routes covering major neighborhoods, with further phases planned to extend coverage across all districts.
Al-Ataki added that buses are being assigned to the designated routes free of charge, with immediate monitoring to ensure driver compliance. He urged public cooperation to support traffic order and improve road use efficiency.
