Tehran - Saba:
An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck southern areas of Iran's Kerman Province on Tuesday. Tremors were also felt in several cities in the neighboring Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the Seismological Center reported that the earthquake occurred on Tuesday morning, with its epicenter located in the Zahakloot area, situated at the junction of Kerman and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces. It struck at a depth of 28 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface, at geographic coordinates 27.99° N and 59.02° E.
In this context, Majid Mohammadi, Director of Crisis Management in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, stated that the quake was felt in the cities of Fanouj, Qasr-e Qand, and Delgan. He confirmed that "no damages have been reported so far" and that "all rescue and emergency teams are on full alert."
