Sergei Lebedev, the coordinator of covert operations in the Mykolaiv region in southern Ukraine, announced on Tuesday that Russian forces launched a night strike on the Ukrainian forces' command and logistics headquarters in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.
The Novosti news agency quoted Nikolaev as saying: "The command headquarters, communications nodes, and logistics centers of the Ukrainian forces were hit by Russian strikes in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions in northern Ukraine."
He added: "Yesterday evening, Kyiv and Zhytomyr witnessed a series of explosions that targeted command headquarters, communications nodes, and logistics distribution centers."
