Hajjah - Saba:
A meeting in Hajjah reviewed on Tuesday the progress of community initiative projects implemented in the second, fourth, and sixth phases in Bani Qais District, under the supervision of the Central Emergency Developmental Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Administrative Affairs, Local Development, and Rural Development.
The meeting, attended by Abdulwahab Sanan, Director of the Central Emergency Developmental Interventions Unit in the governorate, Mohammed Al-Shahari, Director of Bani Qais District, and Yahya Al-Zailai, Technical Director for Community Initiative Support, examined the level of progress, challenges faced, and solutions to ensure the completion of all initiatives in accordance with the progress report submitted by the unit’s engineers in the governorate.
Participants discussed the performance and progress evaluation matrix for community initiative support projects, emphasizing the crucial role of the local authority in the district and the Bani Qais Multipurpose Agricultural Association in motivating community committees to complete pending, ongoing, and upcoming projects within the specified timeframe.
They highlighted the role of the Interventions Unit in disbursing diesel and cement supplies based on submitted progress reports, as well as monitoring the absorption of community initiatives proposed by local authorities in the sixth phase. Additionally, they addressed the integration of new community-led projects initiated during the implementation of neighboring initiatives.
The meeting stressed the importance of forming community committees for new projects, encouraging residents to fulfill their contributions. It also called on the local authority and the Bani Qais Association to propose alternative initiatives in remote and underserved areas for potential inclusion if approved projects face delays.
The attendees commended the efforts of the local authority and the Central Emergency Developmental Interventions Unit in supporting community initiative projects, in line with the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council.
