Ramallah - Saba:
The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist National Security Minister Ben Gvir and a number of Knesset members this morning, Sunday.
In a statement, the ministry considered this move a disregard for the feelings of Muslims throughout the world, not just in Palestine.
It said Islamic holy sites have become subject to daily violations by settler gangs, who, under the cover of a right-wing government, are working diligently to control our Islamic and Christian holy sites through a systematic and clearly defined plan.
The ministry stated, "What the enemy is doing inside Al-Aqsa through its political officials is a violation of its sanctity and the exclusive ownership of Muslims. No one else has the right to worship there."
The ministry stated that this requires serious efforts to stop and completely and forcefully limit it, by encouraging the Palestinian people to flock to Al-Aqsa Mosque, making their pilgrimages there, and maintaining a permanent presence there according to a specific and precise program.
The ministry called on international institutions concerned with human rights and monitoring religious sites to work to restrain this enemy, which has begun to tamper with our land and holy sites without oversight, especially in light of this racist right-wing government that gives the green light to this extremist and his supporters to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque.
