A group of armed men has kidnapped more than 50 people in Nigeria's Zamfara State.

A United Nations report on violence in Nigeria, published on Sunday, stated that armed men kidnapped more than 50 people in northwestern Nigeria this week.

Armed bandits attacked the village of Sabon-Garin-Damri in Zamfara State last Friday.

Remote rural areas in Zamfara State frequently suffer from gang violence, which kidnaps people for ransom and loots villages.
