Berlin – Saba:
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stated on Thursday that Israel is facing increasing diplomatic isolation due to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and the growing international push for recognition of a Palestinian state.
In a statement, Baerbock emphasized that the recent UN conference on Palestine—which the United States and Israel boycotted—demonstrates that Israel is increasingly "finding itself in the minority."
On Wednesday, 15 Western countries, including France, Canada, and Australia (both G20 members), issued a joint appeal recognizing a Palestinian state and demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Other signatories to the statement included:
- Andorra, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Slovenia, and Spain.
With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued its genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in:
- 60,249 Palestinian civilians killed (mostly women and children)
- 147,089 injured (figures remain incomplete as thousands remain trapped under rubble, unreachable by rescue teams).
