Gaza – Saba:
Izzat al-Rishq, a member of Hamas' Political Bureau, strongly condemned U.S. President Donald Trump for parroting Zionist lies and false claims accusing Hamas of stealing and selling humanitarian aid in Gaza.
In a press statement received by Yemen's Saba News Agency on Friday, al-Rishq said: "Trump's accusations are baseless and lack any evidence. They exonerate the criminal while blaming the victim." He added: "Trump never tires of repeating Israeli accusations and lies, and we will never tire of rejecting and debunking them."
He noted that these claims have been refuted by reports and testimonies from international organizations, including the United Nations, and were recently debunked by an internal investigation by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which confirmed there were no reports or data indicating Hamas had stolen aid.
Al-Rishq stressed that the deliberate starvation and genocide in Gaza are a direct result of U.S.-backed Israeli policies, which use food and medicine as weapons of war against over two million people.
"The U.S. administration must stop viewing the situation through Israeli eyes," he said, "and instead uphold its moral and legal responsibilities by condemning Israel’s starvation war and unjust siege on Gaza, and by ending its cover and support for these crimes."
He also demanded that the U.S. support "efforts to safely and fully deliver aid to all our people without restrictions or conditions, ensuring its distribution through the UN—not through the so-called 'Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,' which operates as a trap to starve and kill those in need of aid."
