Strategic military expert, Major General Qasid Mahmoud, stated on Monday that the Palestinian resistance has successfully brought about a qualitative shift in the course of the battle against the Israeli entity through precise field operations that have disrupted the enemy's army and plunged its soldiers into a state of eroding confidence and mounting confusion.
In a statement to the Saba News Agency, Maj. Gen. Mahmoud explained that the resistance’s execution of high-quality operations in areas previously subjected to intense airstrikes and ground attacks reflects an advanced level of military planning and tactics. He noted that "the ability to plant mines and set up ambushes in areas monitored and repeatedly combed by Israeli forces confirms that the resistance operates with remarkable professionalism and boldness."
He pointed out that these operations have shaken the psychological state of the occupation soldiers, who now feel they are direct targets at any moment. This has created "an atmosphere of fear and imbalance, reflected in declining morale and rising suicide rates among Israeli enemy forces."
"Despite the technological and firepower superiority of the Israeli army, its soldiers on the ground stand bewildered in the face of a Palestinian fighter with high combat doctrine and a spirit of sacrifice, giving them the upper hand in direct engagements," he added.
He emphasized that "a fighter storming a tank and killing its crew embodies the fundamental difference between a fighter driven by a cause and a soldier fighting without moral direction."
The military expert continued: "The current confrontation is no longer just a field battle but has turned into a political pressure card on the Zionist leadership, which has failed to contain the resistance despite U.S. support and far-right backing."
Mahmoud noted that the resistance has moved beyond traditional defense to offensive initiatives, carrying out precise operations across various areas in the Gaza Strip. He stressed that "this ability to take the initiative has destabilized the occupation and deepened its field and political losses."
He highlighted that the Israeli army’s failure to decisively conclude the battle, particularly in areas like Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, reflects a worsening military dilemma despite its air and technological superiority.
Maj. Gen. Qasid Mahmoud concluded by affirming that "the results of this war will not appear immediately but will accumulate as crises within the Israeli enemy’s military and political institutions, with their profound impact becoming clear in the coming phase."
