Abdulrahman Shadid, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed on Wednesday that the Zionist enemy is attempting through its criminal actions to impose its sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and displace the land’s rightful owners.
In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Shadid said: “The Zionist enemy's escalation of its criminal aggression on the governorates of the West Bank, and the intensification of land confiscation, bulldozing operations, and the repeated brutal attacks carried out by settlers on citizens’ lands and properties, are attempts to impose new settlement realities and alter the geographic features to enforce full sovereignty over the West Bank.”
The Hamas official warned of the danger of the new settlement and military project in the town of Raba, southeast of Jenin, which is part of a series of similar projects in Tubas, Nablus, Tulkarm, Hebron, and other governorates, aimed at displacing residents and emptying the land of its people.
He praised the steadfastness of the residents of Raba and all cities, towns, and camps in the West Bank, who stand bravely in the face of the oppression and settlement machinery, affirming that this land was, is, and will remain purely Palestinian and will not accept invaders.
Shadid called on the Palestinian people, especially the free-spirited youth, to participate massively in all public and support events on Friday, and to escalate confrontation with the Zionist enemy and disrupt its soldiers and settlers by all possible means.
