Taiz - Saba:
Abdulwase’ Al-Shamsi, Taiz Province’s Deputy for Development Affairs, launched on Wednesday the distribution of 300 fodder choppers to a number of livestock breeders in Al-Ta’aziyah District, with support from the Social Fund for Development.
The project targets 1,200 families of livestock breeders in the villages of Al-Da’isa, Al-Shahna, and Hazran in Al-Ta’aziyah District, as part of efforts to enhance food security and achieve sustainable rural development.
During the launch event, which was preceded by the preparation of livestock barns and the distribution of cattle feed and milking tools, Deputy Al-Shamsi explained that this project will contribute, during the year 1447 AH, to establishing centers for milk collection and localization in Taiz Governorate, as well as activating contract farming for corn and legumes.
He noted that the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Water Resources, along with Taiz’s Acting Governor, agreed with the Hail Group of Companies to receive dairy and legumes produced in Taiz and Ibb Governorates during their visit to the group.
He called on associations and agricultural offices in the districts to contribute to promoting sustainable development across the province’s villages and districts.
For his part, Taiz’s Agricultural Sector Official, Engineer Abdullah Al-Jundi, and Al-Ta’aziyah District Director, Abdulkhaliq Al-Junaid, stated that this project represents a first step toward enhancing development and achieving sustainable rural development in the villages of Al-Ta’aziyah District.
They urged the local community in the district to actively collaborate with both official and private entities to serve the people of the district.
