Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), revealed details on Saturday of a heroic operation carried out by its fighters, targeting a gathering of Zionist enemy soldiers and military vehicles in the center of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Al-Qassam said: "Our mujahideen successfully raided a gathering of Zionist enemy soldiers and vehicles near the Directorate of Education in Al-Mahatta area, central Khan Younis, on Friday morning."
The statement added: "During the operation, the mujahideen targeted two 'Merkava' tanks with 'Shawaz' explosive devices—using guerrilla tactics—killing and wounding their crews. They also targeted an armored personnel carrier with a 'Yasin 105' shell. As soon as rescue forces arrived, they were engaged with light and medium weapons, and our fighters observed enemy helicopters landing for evacuation operations that lasted several hours."
