Gaza - Saba:
The World Health Organization's Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, Hanan Balkhi, said on Saturday that children in Gaza are dying from hunger and famine, which have reached extremely high levels due to the stifling Israeli blockade.
According to the Sanad News Agency, Balkhi indicated that deaths are occurring among adults and children due to lack of food and medicine, and that vital health infrastructure in the Strip has been completely destroyed.
She emphasized that people are living in an extremely difficult health environment, and that although hygiene is the foundation of health, it is absent in Gaza.
