Gaza - Saba:
The Director General of the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network, Amjad Shawa, announced that armed gangs seized 86 aid trucks under the protection of Israeli enemy drones. Most of these trucks were loaded with flour in the southern Gaza Strip.
In press statements on Saturday, Shawa explained that the aid trucks that were robbed were on their way to World Food Programme warehouses in the southern Gaza Strip.
He added that the World Food Programme had planned to distribute flour to Palestinian families according to a rotation system starting tomorrow, Sunday.
He pointed out that the enemy changed the convoy's route at the last minute from the Netzarim axis to the Kerem Shalom crossing, as the road there was unsafe.
The trucks were forced to enter a red zone, emptied of residents, amid intense air traffic to protect the gangs from any potential pursuit by security forces and police forces in Gaza.
Last Wednesday evening, the World Food Programme announced that it would begin distributing flour to families in the Gaza Strip in the near future, including in the northern Gaza Strip, according to the old distribution mechanism. The flour will reach families directly, rather than through aid distribution centers established by the enemy army.
