Sana’a – SABA:
Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi stressed the shared responsibility between the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and the Ministry of Electricity and Energy—as well as other concerned entities—to ensure the stability of electricity services, particularly in Al-Hodeidah Governorate.
This came during his meeting today with Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, Minister of Electricity and Energy and Water Dr. Ali Saif, his deputy Adel Bader, and Deputy Executive Director of the Oil Company Osama Al-Khatib. The meeting discussed the complementary roles of the two ministries in supplying fuel oil and diesel to the Public Electricity Corporation to ensure continuous electricity generation.
The meeting also reviewed emergency measures taken to secure power supply for Al-Hodeidah, especially with the onset of summer, and the importance of expediting implementation steps to ease the burden of heat on the local population.
Al-Rahwi instructed the Ministry of Oil and other relevant bodies to resolve any issues facing the Oil Company and the Electricity Corporation to guarantee the stability of their public service operations.
