The Planning Sector of the Prime Minister's Office on Sunday conducted a workshop for planning teams from various ministries to prepare the central-level plan for the year 1447 AH.
The workshop aimed to educate participants on government priorities for the upcoming plan, the models for its preparation, and the criteria for project development.
At the opening, Jarallah Fadel, Assistant Director of the PMO for Planning, emphasized that planning is a fundamental aspect of development and building the modern Yemeni state.
He stressed the importance of improving the performance of planning teams across government entities and preparing plans that align with government priorities and address citizens' needs by setting clear central-level project priorities.
Fadel underscored the need to focus on government priorities, review past plans to address shortcomings, and avoid randomness in future planning and implementation.
Ali Al-Mutamayiz, Deputy Assistant Director for Planning, expressed hope that the workshop would help develop a clear understanding of the 1447 AH plan's directives, priorities, and preparation process. He highlighted the importance of understanding the plan's preparation methodology.
He stated that the Planning Sector's role is to support ministries in plan preparation and implementation monitoring, emphasizing adherence to government priorities and implementation mechanisms to create realistic plans based on available resources, implement impactful projects, and avoid randomness in the 1447 AH plan.
Al-Mutamayiz also noted the requirement to complete and submit periodic follow-up forms to the Planning Sector for evaluation reports on plan and project implementation progress.
During the workshop, Mutahhar al-Shaari, a trainer from the Planning Sector, reviewed the determinants for preparing the 1447 AH plan at the central level, explaining the timeline for its preparation and the various models available.
