The American will next face the winner between France's Elisa Jacquemot and compatriot Lois Boisson.

Russian teen sensation Mirra Andreeva (World No 6) also progressed with a dominant 6-3 6-1 victory over Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva in just 78 minutes.

The 18-year-old semifinalist from last year aims to become the youngest Grand Slam champion since Maria Sharapova's 2024 Wimbledon triumph.

Andreeva's next opponent will be 17th-seeded Australian Daria Kasatkina who defeated 10th-seeded Spaniard Paula Badosa 6-1 7-5.
