Today, Saturday, Israeli protesters raised banners calling on U.S. President Donald Trump to pressure the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government, war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, to agree to a prisoner exchange deal with the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
Thousands of Israelis, including families and relatives of prisoners and detainees held by Hamas in Gaza, demonstrated in the squares of Yafa (Tel Aviv) and Jerusalem, demanding a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas, according to the Russian agency Sputnik.
The Hebrew channel "i24 News" reported on Saturday evening, quoting the prisoners' families, that "for Netanyahu, eternal war is better than the return of civilians kidnapped under his rule."
Meanwhile, the families called for changing the name of the military operation launched by the Israeli enemy army in the Gaza Strip, currently called "Gideon's Chariots," to "Chariots of Death."
In a statement, the families emphasized that "the military operation will only lead to unjustified deaths of Israeli prisoners and soldiers."
