Hamburg – SABA:
Italian tennis player Flavio Cobolli clinched the title at the Hamburg Open (ATP 500) on clay courts after a stunning victory in the final.
The 23-year-old secured the championship by defeating Russia’s Andrey Rublev in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, on Saturday.
This marks Cobolli’s second career title and his first at an ATP 500-level tournament.
With this win, the young Italian is set to rise to a new career-high ranking of World No. 26 in the upcoming ATP rankings, surpassing his previous best of World No. 30 achieved in late 2024.
Cobolli now prepares for his next challenge at the French Open (Roland Garros), which begins in just a few days.
