Real Madrid concluded their 2024-2025 La Liga season with a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in the 38th and final round of the competition.

Despite the win, Real Madrid failed to retain their league title, finishing second behind champions Barcelona.

The victory was sealed by a brace from French striker Kylian Mbappé, who scored in the 38th and 83rd minutes.

The match marked the final official appearance of Croatian legend Luka Modrić in a Real Madrid shirt.

Additionally, the club’s fans bid farewell to Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to leave Real Madrid to take charge of the Brazilian national team.

With this win, Real Madrid raised their points tally to 84, securing second place in the league standings—11 points behind Barcelona, who will play their final match against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad remained on 46 points, sitting in 11th place pending the results of the remaining final-round fixtures.
