Scott McTominay, the Scottish international and Napoli midfielder, was named Serie A’s Player of the Season on Saturday after leading his team to the league title on Friday evening.

McTominay guided Napoli to a 2-0 victory over Cagliari in their final match of the season, securing the title by a one-point margin over Inter Milan, who also won 2-0 against Como, as reported by Russia Today.

The 28-year-old joined Napoli from Manchester United last summer and quickly became one of the league’s most impactful players in his debut season, contributing significantly to Napoli’s success and claiming his first-ever league title as a professional.

The Scottish midfielder finished the season with 12 goals—including the opener in the final match against Cagliari—and six assists in 34 Serie A appearances under coach Antonio Conte.

This marks Napoli’s fourth Serie A title and their second in the last three seasons.
