Al-Dhale’ – SABA:
Abdul Latif Al-Shaghadri, Acting Governor of Al-Dhale’ province, officially launched today the asphalting project of the main street in Jibn City, marking a new step in improving infrastructure in the area.
The project includes asphalting, filling, and road maintenance, at a total cost of 38 million Yemeni riyals, funded by the local authority in the governorate.
Al-Shaghadri commended the Executive Unit for Road Maintenance for their efforts and urged for the completion of the project according to the approved technical specifications and timeline. He also called on the Road Maintenance Fund to take on its responsibilities in rehabilitating the roads that connect the districts of Al-Dhale’ and link the governorate to neighboring provinces.
Engineer Ziyad Haidarah, Director of the Executive Unit, explained that initial works such as excavation, compaction, and laying of the base layer (base course) have been completed. The next phases will include asphalting, installation of riprap, and other repair and maintenance activities.
In a related development, Al-Shaghadri inspected progress on the Wadiya Health Center project, currently under construction at a cost of 22 million riyals, funded by a philanthropist and supported by local community contributions.
He emphasized the need for continued support to ensure the project’s completion and praised the people of Jibn district for their active role in initiating and supporting development projects, which contribute to community resilience and improved public services.
Accompanied by directors from the Water and Sanitation Corporation, Cleaning Fund, and Awqaf Office, Al-Shaghadri also inspected work on a new water well project managed by the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation, aimed at improving water access in the area.
