A meeting in Ibb province, chaired by Yahya al-Qasimi, head of the Grievances Authority branch, discussed on Saturday the process of updating detailed neighborhood plans issued between 1985 and 2002.
The meeting, attended by province undersecretary Qasim al-Masawi and directors of relevant offices, reviewed a study on the current status of these plans, including violations and the state of services.
The two officials addressed the legal, technical, and financial needs for the update, the reasons for past violations, and potential solutions.
Attendees stressed the importance of coordinating on citizen complaints while adhering to master plans and the law. The meeting agreed to request presidential approval for the update procedures and tasked the Land Authority Office with preparing a cost estimate for the project.
