Berlin – Saba:
The German Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces for opening fire on a diplomatic delegation in the city of Jenin on Wednesday evening.
In a statement, the ministry confirmed that the delegation included a German diplomat and a driver from the German Representative Office in Ramallah, emphasizing that the delegation was officially registered and conducting diplomatic activities in coordination with both the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli military.
The statement demanded:
"The Israeli government must immediately clarify the circumstances of the incident and respect the inviolability of diplomats."
Turkey Also Condemns the Attack
Similarly, the Turkish Foreign Ministry denounced the Israeli occupation forces' shooting at diplomats, including Turkish nationals, during their visit to Jenin.
In its statement, the ministry said:
"This attack, which endangered the lives of diplomats, is further evidence of Israel’s systematic disregard for international law and human rights."
It confirmed that a diplomat from the Turkish Consulate in Jerusalem was among the targeted group, stressing:
"Targeting diplomats poses a serious threat not only to individual safety but also to the mutual respect and trust that form the foundation of international relations."
