Capitals - Saba:
The incident of the Israeli enemy forces firing at a delegation of foreign diplomats who were on a visit to the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday sparked an unprecedented Arab and international outrage, accompanied by global cries calling for an end to the barbaric and inhumane Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, in the context of the international solidarity witnessed by the Palestinian oppressed, which is expanding every day.
In light of the ongoing escalation in the Occupied Palestinian territories, the shooting incident that targeted a diplomatic delegation in a camp opened the door to a new wave of international outrage, especially from European capitals, which have become bolder in expressing their dissatisfaction with the escalating "Israeli" behavior towards international law and humanitarian standards.
Accountability of "Israel"
In this context, the European Union called on the Israeli occupation to "hold accountable those responsible for the shooting towards the European diplomatic delegation in the West Bank," considering that what happened represents a clear violation of international conventions and treaties that guarantee the protection of diplomatic missions.
In a remarkable development, the Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, considered the warning shots fired by the occupation army towards the diplomats as "unacceptable" threats.
In a post on "X" platform, Tajani demanded from the Israeli Occupation Government immediate explanations of what happened.
According to a statement issued by the Italian Foreign Ministry, Tajani summoned the "Israeli" ambassador about the incident.
Spain, for its part, strongly condemned the shooting during the diplomats ' visit, and a brief statement from the Spanish foreign ministry read: "the ministry is investigating everything that happened. A Spaniard was among the group of diplomats and he is fine. We are reaching out to other countries involved in the issue to provide a joint response to what happened, which we strongly condemn,"he said.
In this regard, the Belgian Foreign Minister, Maxim Prevo, called on the Israeli occupation to " convincing explanations "about the incident, explaining via the X platform that the Belgian diplomat is" fortunately fine", stressing that" these diplomats were making an official visit within a convoy of twenty vehicles that can be clearly identified".
The German foreign ministry also called on the Israeli occupation "to clarify the circumstances immediately", expressing its "strong condemnation of the unjustified shooting".
International immunity
In turn, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrow announced that Paris would summon the Israeli ambassador following an "unacceptable" shooting.
Barrow wrote on " X " platform: "a visit to Jenin with the participation of one of our diplomats, I came under fire from "Israeli" soldiers. This is unacceptable. The "Israeli" ambassador will be summoned to provide explanations. We assure our full support to our employees at the venue and for their outstanding work under these difficult circumstances,"he said.
Irish Foreign Minister Simon Harris also expressed shock at the targeting of diplomats, including two Irishmen.
In the same context, Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Kravik said that diplomats should be protected, adding that his country expects "Israel" to respect their international immunity .
Also, Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel announced that his country summoned the "Israeli" ambassador to protest the shooting of the occupation army during the visit of foreign diplomats to the occupied West Bank.
"Following this incident that defies international law, the Israeli ambassador to Portugal has been summoned, "the ministry said in a statement, adding that it strongly condemns the shooting. She confirmed that a Portuguese was among the group of foreign diplomats.

The United Nations also condemned the direct firing of the occupation forces towards foreign and Arab diplomats during their visit to Jenin in the occupied West Bank, calling on the occupation authorities to conduct a "thorough investigation".
Stephane Dujarric, a spokesman for the UN secretary-general, said: "these diplomats, including a UN staff, were shot, whether it was warning shots or otherwise, which is unacceptable.
The real threat
From Palestine, the Islamic resistance movement Hamas said that the firing of Israeli enemy soldiers directly towards 25 Arab and European ambassadors and diplomats is a continuation of the occupation's arrogance and arrogance and its violation of all international norms and conventions.
The movement explained in a statement on Wednesday that the continuation of the Israeli aggression on Jenin and its camp for the fifth month in a row, in conjunction with its continuous aggression on Tulkarm, Nablus and other West Bank governorates, represents a frantic attempt to implement annexation and displacement plans by intensifying settlement and stealing land from its original owners.
The movement stressed that "the Israeli enemy, no matter how deep in its crime, will fail to achieve its goals in the West Bank, Gaza and every inch of our occupied land, with the steadfastness of our people and the steadfastness of their valiant resistance".
It called on the international community to step up its pressure to stop the crimes of the Israeli enemy, support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination, and establish their independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Palestinian Mujahideen movement also considered that" the shooting towards the diplomatic group during its visit to Jenin clearly reveals that the Zionist entity is the source of instability and a real threat to the entire world, "noting that this "puts the world's countries in front of the responsibility to hold it accountable and prosecute it without delay.
It also considered, in a statement, this evening, " the shooting by soldiers of the Zionist enemy army towards 25 Arab and Western ambassadors and diplomats in the Jenin camp is a blatant expression of disregard for the international community," stressing that this is "the result of silence, impotence, lack of prosecution and international accountability for its brutal crimes against humanity.
The Movement said that "the continuation of the Zionist aggression for the fifth month on Jenin and the cities of the northern bank comes within the framework of the open war against our people, which targets their existence and within the plans of displacement and liquidation of the issue, which must be faced firmly by all components of the Palestinian people.
It called on "the free people of the world to intensify their pressure on the enemy entity and its supporters to stop the crime of genocide and aggression and end the fascist occupation of our land".
A Clear Violation
In the Arab world, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli enemy forces' firing near the city of Jenin and its camp.
In a statement, the Ministry, through its official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, considered this a clear violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and a crime that contravenes all diplomatic norms.
He expressed Jordan's absolute rejection and condemnation of this targeting, which constitutes a violation of diplomatic agreements and norms, particularly the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which defines the procedures and controls for diplomatic work and grants immunities to diplomatic missions.
Qudah called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities and compel the Israeli enemy to immediately halt its aggression against Gaza and its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank, halt its crimes against the Palestinian people, and hold those responsible accountable.
In another rejection at the Arab level, Egypt stressed its absolute rejection of the attack, which it considered a violation of all diplomatic norms, calling on the Israeli enemy to "provide the necessary clarifications regarding the circumstances of this incident."
Western Criticism
This comes at a time when Western criticism of the Israeli enemy has escalated due to its ongoing aggression on Gaza and its imposition of a stifling blockade that threatens to exacerbate the humanitarian crisis facing the Strip for nearly 20 months.
Several European countries have demanded an end to operations against civilians in Gaza and the immediate opening of the crossings to allow the entry of humanitarian aid.
The Belgian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister said on Wednesday that 17 European countries were considering sanctions against Israel, noting that most countries support this move.
The minister emphasized in his statements that it is unacceptable to see women and children dying of hunger and thirst in Gaza, calling for action at all costs to lift the blockade imposed by Israel on Gaza.
Yesterday, Britain announced the imposition of sanctions against settlers and the suspension of arms sales and free trade negotiations.
The British government summoned the Israeli ambassador to inform her of London's position rejecting the expansion of military operations in the Gaza Strip.
The Spanish Parliament also voted on Tuesday on a proposal submitted by leftist and nationalist parties calling for a ban on arms sales to countries involved in genocide, including the Israeli occupation.
