London - Saba
According to media reports, Manchester United has placed all of its first-team players up for sale in the upcoming summer transfer window, reflecting the club’s deep financial crisis following their Europa League final loss to Tottenham.
The club had hoped to earn £100 million by qualifying for the next Champions League, but that dream was dashed by the defeat.
Key players like Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, André Onana, Kobbie Mainoo, and Alejandro Garnacho are reportedly available for transfer.
Fernandes even stated he would consider leaving if it benefited the club.
Next season will mark only the second time in 35 years that United misses out on European competitions.
The club also plans to offload high-wage players currently out on loan—such as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Antony.
Since INEOS’ partial acquisition of the club, United has implemented austerity measures, including staff layoffs, canceling the Christmas party, and ending free staff lunches—signs pointing to a looming full-scale rebuild.
