Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed that the resistance has been a source of stability for Lebanon, preventing the Israeli enemy from carrying out any aggression for 17 years and thwarting the Israeli settlement project in southern Lebanon, allowing liberation to replace occupation.
He said, during a memorial service for the great jihadist leader Hajj Ali Karaki (Abu al-Fadl Karaki), according to the Al-Manar website: "Over 42 years, the resistance has accumulated qualitative achievements, most notably the liberation of Lebanon and preventing "Israel" from achieving its goals during the July 2006 aggression."
