The Sultan team won the Yemeni Unity Football Cup, organized by the Youth and Sports Office in the province under the supervision of the local authority and mobilization, as part of summer activities.
The Sultan team secured the cup after defeating Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Center team (Al-Jund) with a clean score of 5-0 in the match held today in celebration of the 35th National Day of the Republic of Yemen (May 22).
At the conclusion of the match, Saeed Al-Sanafi, a member of the Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses, expressed his happiness at organizing the football event in honor of this cherished national occasion, which reinforces the spirit of unity in the minds of generations.
He praised the role of the local authority in the province, which places great emphasis on sports and cultural activities in line with the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the government’s Change and Construction Program.
In the end, Al-Sanafi honored the winning team of the Yemeni Unity Cup, as well as the best player, goalkeeper, and top scorer.
