Dhalea - Saba:
The Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, and the Acting Governor of Dhalea, Abdul Latif Al Shagdari, inspected a number of health facilities in the governorate.
Dr. Shaiban and Al Shagdari, along with the Deputy Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Nasher Al Qaoud, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Najib Al Qabati, and the Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Major General Mohammed Al Khalid, reviewed the level of equipment and services at the Maternity and Children's Hospital in Damt District.
They also reviewed the progress of work at the Qurain Al-Fahd Health Center in Qataba District and heard from those in charge of the center about its needs and the challenges facing its work.
They also inspected the workflow and services at the Maternity and Childhood Center and the Health Center in Al-Husha District, their needs for medical supplies and personnel, and the challenges facing their work.
During the visits, the Minister of Health and Environment affirmed the government and ministry's commitment to delivering health services to citizens, particularly in rural areas. He emphasized the importance of concerted efforts between the local authorities and the Health Office to improve the health situation in the governorate.
He urged redoubled efforts to improve health services and focus on developing and rehabilitating health personnel and facilities. He praised the efforts of the governorate's leadership and health personnel in centers and units, particularly in the districts and remote areas.
For his part, Al-Shagdari considered the visit of the Minister of Health and his deputy a confirmation of the government's commitment to addressing the needs of the governorate and its districts, particularly in the health sector.
In turn, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Al-Qaoud indicated that this visit comes within the framework of its commitment and interest in identifying the needs of health facilities on the ground, especially in remote and distant areas.
He emphasized that strengthening and improving health services in rural areas is a priority for the Ministry, to ease the burden on citizens.
They were accompanied during the visit by the Director of the Health and Environment Office in the Governorate, Dr. Abdulmalik Al-Gharbani.
