Gaza - Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" has called on the Arab Summit held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and the free world to halt the genocide being committed by the Zionist enemy in the Gaza Strip and to impose urgent sanctions on the occupation.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hamas emphasized that what is happening in Gaza is "a full-fledged genocide taking place before the eyes of a helpless world, while over two and a half million people in the besieged Strip are being slaughtered."
The movement stated that as the Arab Summit convenes in Baghdad, " Gaza Strip is facing one of the most brutal and bloody attacks," pointing to the ongoing massacres against civilians, the targeting of residential neighborhoods and shelters, resulting in hundreds of martyrs and wounded amid the blockade and the cutoff of aid.
It added that northern Gaza, in particular, is witnessing a systematic campaign of extermination, with intensified aerial and artillery bombardment, forcing hundreds of families into forced displacement from their houses to escape death and shelling.
Hamas called on the Arab Summit to assume its historical responsibilities and take practical steps to stop the aggression, lift the blockade, and implement the resolutions of the Riyadh Summit, which called for breaking the siege and ensuring the entry of aid.
It also demanded the imposition of urgent Arab and international sanctions on the occupation and the prosecution of its leaders as war criminals.
The movement urged the "peoples of the world and its free forces" to escalate an urgent global solidarity campaign to expose the crimes of the occupation , reveal its policies of genocide and starvation.
