Geneva - Saba:
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has confirmed that Israel's targeting and putting Gaza hospitals out of service is a dismantling of livelihoods and the destruction of places of last refuge for Palestinians.
The human rights monitor said in a statement on Wednesday that the targeting and disruption of the Gaza European Hospital shortly after the bombing of the Nasser Medical Complex is part of the process of manufacturing slow death and pushing the Gaza Strip toward complete collapse.
The monitor explained that the bombing resulted in the deaths of more than 35 Palestinians, including families who were wiped out inside their homes or in the streets.
It also confirmed that the enemy army prevented any attempts to retrieve and evacuate victims from the streets by targeting civil defense crews.
It emphasized that Israel's claim of military use of hospitals is a pre-prepared argument that it repeatedly repeats to justify its crimes of killing and systematic destruction.
The human rights monitor said that the continued targeting of hospitals and health infrastructure in the Gaza Strip constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity. The Observatory called on all states to assume their legal responsibilities and take urgent action to halt the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
On Tuesday, more than 30 Palestinians were killed, many more were injured, and several others were missing under the rubble, following an Israeli attack with live ammunition near the Gaza European Hospital in Khan Yunis.
