Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei announced on Wednesday that a meeting of the political directors of the foreign ministries of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the three European countries that are parties to the nuclear agreement will be held on Friday.
According to the Iranian News Agency (IRNA), Baghaei told reporters on the sidelines of his visit to the Tehran International Book Fair on Wednesday that the meeting will be held in Istanbul, Turkey. The agenda includes continuing consultations with Germany, Britain, and France, including on indirect talks between Iran and the United States.
Iran and the European Troika have held three previous rounds of talks on the Iranian nuclear issue.
A new round of these talks was scheduled to be held on Friday, May 2, in Rome, one day before the fourth round of Iranian-US talks, but it was postponed due to the postponement of the fourth round of talks.
