British Airways announced on Tuesday the cancellation of its flight scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, to the occupied Palestinian territories, joining a series of international airlines that have suspended flights to the city of Jaffa (Tel Aviv) after a rocket fired from Yemen fell near Ben Gurion Airport last Sunday.
Israel's Channel 12 reported on Tuesday that the British airline decided to cancel the flight "as a precautionary measure."
Meanwhile, the Israeli business newspaper Globes reported that "a large number of foreign airlines have suspended all flights to Israel this week."
So far, major international airlines have extended their flight suspensions, most notably: Wizz Air until Thursday noon; Air India until Friday; United Airlines and Delta until Saturday; Lufthansa and its group of companies until Monday; and Air France and Transavia until May 14.
