Beijing - Paris - Saba:
China reiterated its opposition on Tuesday to the operations of the Israeli occupation army in the Gaza Strip following its announcement of a plan to take control of the territory.
According to China's state-run news agency Xinhua, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that China is deeply concerned about the current situation and opposes Israel's ongoing military operations in Gaza.
Similarly, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot strongly condemned on Tuesday the Israeli occupation's plan to seize control of Gaza and its renewed military campaign in the Strip.
In a statement to French radio RTL, Barrot said, "This is unacceptable," stressing that the Israeli government is violating humanitarian law.
He added that the most urgent need is for a ceasefire and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip.
