Gaza - Saba:
The director of medical activities at the international organization Doctors Without Borders (MSF) confirmed on Thursday that Israel’s prevention of humanitarian aid from reaching the Gaza Strip for over 60 days threatens to bring all medical operations in the sector to a standstill.
She stressed that the medical situation in Gaza is "extremely dire," particularly under the relentless attacks and the intensified Israeli blockade since October 7, 2023.
The director noted that the situation in Gaza has been catastrophic throughout the war but is now worsening day by day.
"No aid or medical supplies have reached us for nearly two months, putting all medical activities and hospitals at risk of shutting down," she said.
The Israeli occupation continues to block the entry of food and medicine into Gaza since March 2, prompting the United Nations to warn that the humanitarian situation in the devastated enclave has "surpassed all conceivable limits."
