Gaza - Saba:
The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine stated on Monday that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague should have immediately demanded, during its sessions today, that the Zionist enemy respect its previous ruling ordering a halt to the genocide in Gaza and an immediate end to the siege and starvation policy targeting the innocent civilians in Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued on Monday, the movement added that opening a file on the enemy’s crimes in hearings spanning five days suggests that the practices of the occupying entity are subject to legal debate.
It emphasized that obstructing the entry of food, medicine, and fuel constitutes a clear war crime under international law, regardless of circumstances, and that the enemy itself does not deny using the siege as a weapon to achieve political and military goals.
Islamic Jihad reminded the court that the International Criminal Court (ICC) had issued arrest warrants in November 2024 for the enemy’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his War Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of crimes against humanity through the starvation of the population.
The movement stated that the ICJ should have issued a recommendation obligating governments and states to enforce these warrants and criminalize all governments that refuse to implement them.
It stressed that legal delays will not feed the hungry, save a child, or bring justice to the innocent when it is too late.
Islamic Jihad held all governments and institutions silent on the enemy’s crimes—particularly Arab and Islamic governments—responsible for the starvation of Gaza’s population, as this silence persists despite the enemy’s renunciation of all agreements and violation of all understandings. It accused the U.S. administration of openly and blatantly supporting the enemy, encouraging it to commit more crimes, and providing it with weapons, equipment, and political cover.
