The Israeli military announced, this morning Wednesday, the death of an Israeli soldier during military training in northern occupied Palestine.
In a statement, the Israeli army confirmed that soldier Yosef Haim Tzvi Serlin was killed during a training phase with "Unit 504" after collapsing during a military exercise in northern occupied Palestine last night.
The army's statement noted that the medical unit immediately provided first aid to the soldier, but he passed away in the hospital despite efforts to revive him. The military police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli forces announced the start of a large-scale military drill, which began today, Wednesday, and will last for two days on the occupied Palestinian-Lebanese border.
