The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories has warned that Palestinians face a real risk of mass ethnic cleansing as the Zionist entity implements its long-term plan to seize and depopulate the Palestinian territories.
"Ethnic cleansing involves acts that constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and even genocide," Albanese said Monday in a statement.
She continued: "The international community must fulfill its obligation to protect Palestinians from annihilation. "The only way is to enforce the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice that recognized the illegality of Israel's continued presence in the OPT, ordered its unconditional termination, and imposed binding interim measures on Israel to prevent genocide in Gaza."
Albanese concluded: "Palestine is a gaping wound. "What is happening to the Palestinians is a predictable tragedy, a disgrace for which we are collectively responsible. It is not too late for the world to stand up and do the right thing."
