Today, the third stage of the general league for first-division men's basketball clubs for the 2024-2025 season, organized by the Yemeni Basketball Federation with the participation of eight teams, kicked off.
The first day witnessed three matches held in the indoor hall in Aden, where Shaab Hadramout's team outperformed Shamsan with a sweeping victory with a score of 104-55, to strengthen Shaab Hadramout's lead with 14 points from seven matches without any defeat, while Shamsan remained in last place without any victory.
In the second match, the defending champion, Wahda Sana'a, easily defeated Al-Tilal with a score of 84-37, to continue to pursue the leader with 11 points, while Al-Tilal remained in sixth place with 7 points.
As for the third match, Al-Mina'a defeated Al-Ahly Sana'a with a score of 57-50 in an equal confrontation decided by the experience of Al-Mina'a players, to maintain Al-Mina'a in third place with 10 points, while Al-Ahly Sana'a came in fourth place with 8 points.
The stage competitions will continue tomorrow with three matches between Shamsan and Sayoun, Al-Mina and Al-Barq Tarim, and Al-Tilal and Shaab Hadhramaut.
