Afif says our absolute priority now to defeat the enemy, force it to stop aggression
[Fri, 11 Oct 2024 19:02:49 +0300]

Beirut-Saba;

Lebanese Hezbollah media relations official Hajj Mohammed Afif stressed on Friday that Hezbollah's absolute priority now is to defeat the enemy and force him to stop the aggression.

"However, any internal or external political effort to achieve this goal is commendable as long as it is consistent with our comprehensive vision of the battle, its conditions and results, and within this vision is our firm adherence to national unity and internal solidarity,"Afif said at a press conference on Friday.

He pointed out that the media arena in Lebanon is open to the poisonous Zionist air without restrictions and controls in the absence of laws or in the absence of law enforcement.‏

He praised the steadfast Lebanese media in the South, especially those who convey the reality of the situation on the ground to the people and the world, and convey the enemy's crimes against civilians and civilian facilities everywhere in Lebanon, especially in the southern suburbs, and he also praised a number of Free Arab and foreign journalists who are among them in the depth of the war and tragedy, and who share the pain and hope, and the story of resistance and steadfastness.‏

He expressed his regret that some media outlets in Lebanon report the Zionist news without scrutiny, believe the Zionist narrative without professional scrutiny, adopt its reading and narration about the facts on the ground or about the aggressive bombing, and the Lebanese media transmit directly on the air the threats of the enemy chief of staff or the official spokesman of the occupation army and contribute to the publication of more and more of its news, photos and media comments in the framework of the psychological war of the enemy against the resistance and against Lebanon as well as the continuous incitement against the resistance and its sons and allies.‏

"Unfortunately, the government is not moving, neither the Ministry of information nor the National Media Council, and the pretext is always Freedom of information,"he added.

He wondered.. "Is there Freedom even in the country of public freedoms without laws, and is it logical for those falsely called activists or media to publish the names of certain villages and say that there are officials from the resistance or houses with weapons and ammunition and incite the enemy to bomb them?" Is it media freedom that hospitals, Civil Defense relief teams and ambulances should be incited Is the pre-emptive incitement taking place and creating a pretext for the enemy to massacre another Baptist Hospital Where are the minister of justice, the prosecutor general, the competent judges, the cybercrime Bureau".

Regarding the ongoing Zionist attacks on Lebanon, Afif pointed out that the flimsy Zionist pretexts to justify the enemy bombing on the southern suburb by the presence of weapons stores no longer fool anyone, and said: "there are no international institutions monitoring or accountability, and no international public opinion has weight or influence.

He pointed out that the enemy bombards the suburb with timed rockets that explode after the end of the raids in order to deceive weapons stores and mislead public opinion, and prevents rescue operations for detainees under the rubble, as it does in the area of al-Marijah, shelling paramedics and ambulances and prevents the mechanisms of the Ministry of works from blocking the hole on the factory road,"he said.

Haj Afif stressed that there is "malicious American complicity and pressure led by the American ambassador in OKR, and that it is a crime against humanity but in light of American domination over the world.. The question: Who will be tried for crimes against humanity The aggression against dear Beirut on Thursday, its people, our people and we are an authentic part of it, is a continuation of its crimes condemned throughout the country, which led to the martyrdom of a large number of civilians under false pretexts invented by it to justify his its crime, because its original goal is to kill and destroy,"he said.

With regard to the enemy's attacks on the international forces operating in southern Lebanon, the international relations official stressed that this aggression is a condemned act, but he asked about the attitude of the United Nations and the international community towards this serious aggression with only some timid statements of condemnation.

"This action confirms that the enemy does not ask for international decisions or for international forces, recalling the fact that the representative of the Zionist entity at the United Nations publicly tore up the Charter of the United Nations in the General Assembly Hall and in front of its members who did not move a muscle.

He said: "Can we remember that a group of our civilian citizens were killed under the tent of the United Nations and its blue flag in the Qana massacre in 1996?" stressing that what deters this enemy from its crimes is force and resistance, not the international community or international resolutions.

On the field side, the head of international relations in Hezbollah confirmed that the resistance is still in the beginning, addressing the enemy by saying: "You have only seen a few of our strikes yet."

He stressed that "in the field situation, especially on the southern front, the resistance is fine, and is managing its shooting range and the timing of its prayers in a manner consistent with its reading of the field and its objective circumstances. Its strategic stockpile is fine."

Afif also confirmed that there are "thousands of Karbala martyrdom fighters at the peak of readiness and the highest levels of preparedness in defense of Lebanon, and they are ready for fierce fighting in revenge for the blood of our most sacred martyr."

He emphasized, "The enemy remains unable to advance on land, despite deploying additional divisions and elite forces. Their tanks are still stationed at the back and hesitant to move forward. If you see enemy soldiers in various villages or come across old or new images of tunnels, don’t be alarmed or let your morale falter. The resistance is not engaged in a static defense; instead, it employs a flexible strategy tailored to the conditions of the front. This includes setting ambushes, using explosive devices, executing encirclements, and transitioning adeptly from defense to offense, inflicting significant losses. The enemy is beginning to acknowledge these losses, forcing them to retreat and reassess their strategies, which have been thrown off balance."

He explained, "The resistance fighters are determined not to abandon positions we deem strategically important, even if they are considered militarily compromised."

On the topic of internal politics, he remarked, "There’s a lot of discussion on TV, in the press, and behind the scenes about the urgency for political outcomes in Lebanon. Netanyahu was candid about this during his conversation with the French president, and it has gradually revealed the real American intentions toward Lebanon, as reflected in the American media. Some local politicians have echoed these sentiments, bringing forth troubling phrases and terms that don’t need to be reiterated."

Hajj Afif emphasized, "The battle against the enemy is still in its early phases. While there is much talk about political maneuvers, I urge you not to rush or make hasty decisions. Remember the lessons of the past: the Israelis act solely in their own interests, not yours."

He remarked, "We are not in 1982, when the Zionist tanks rolled into Beirut and shifted the political landscape, tearing apart the Lebanese social fabric. Instead, we find ourselves in a situation reminiscent of the early days of the July War, when many rushed to declare Hezbollah's defeat before realizing their mistake. By the end of that conflict, Hezbollah emerged victorious."

Addressing the displaced, Hezbollah's media relations official stated, "You are the eyes through which we see and the hearts that beat within us; you embody the trust of our master and supreme martyr. If we fall short in our efforts, we apologize, but we are committed to doing everything we can. If we succeed in serving you, it is our duty, not a favor."

He added: "Oh people of the resistance, we know that it is a hardship that will pass and ease will come after hardship. Do people think that they will say, 'We believe' and they will not be tempted? The resistance is none other than you, you are the resistance, its people and its people, and you will soon return to the suburbs and to your homes in the south and Bekaa, and the promise of the martyred master to you is that we will return it more beautiful than it was, present in our hearts and minds, and we will celebrate victory together, God willing."

He concluded by saying: "Our culture is Karbala and our spirit is the spirit of martyrdom, but you should all know that this battle is not Karbala and Zainab is not alone in the desert without a supporter or helper, and Hussein will not be killed twice, but it is the Battle of Khaybar, the Battle of Khilafah in Khaybar, and God is with us and our great Lebanese people with their overwhelming majority are with us, and beside us is the Islamic Republic of Iran and great Iraq and Yemen of wisdom and heroism and steadfast Syria and martyrdom Palestine and the Arab and Islamic nation and the honorable free people of the world." He stressed that "Hezbollah is not just an organization even if the organization has returned to its cohesion and effectiveness from the top of the pyramid to the last axis and spot official, and Hezbollah is not just resistance even if the resistance has begun to regain initiative and power, Hezbollah is a nation and nations do not die because their destiny is victory."
