SANA'A-SABA: Today in Sana'a, a meeting led by the Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif, reviewed the provision of water, electricity, and sanitation services for the central squares. These areas are expected to accommodate the masses attending the Prophet's birthday celebrations in the capital city of Sana'a and other governorates.
The meeting, which included Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water Adel Bader, and several ministry leaders and affiliated institutions, reviewed the procedures and measures taken to provide electricity, water supply, and sewage networks to the squares celebrating this solemn religious occasion.
During the meeting, attended by Fawaz Qairan, President of the Public Corporation for Water and Sanitation, and Eng. Muhammad Madais, Director General of the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation, ministry officials presented preliminary reports on recent efforts to deliver water and sanitation services in areas designated for events, including the setup of lighting poles and their electrification.
The Minister of Electricity stressed keenness to coordinate with the relevant authorities to complete any arrangements for the electricity and water sectors in the squares in the capital Sana'a and the governorates.
The Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Seif, accompanied by his deputy, Adel Bader, and the Director General of the Local Corporation for Water and Sanitation, reviewed the final arrangements at the Military Academy Square, which is set aside for the women's sector to commemorate the Prophet's birthday anniversary.
The head of the preparatory committee, Ali Al-Saqqaf, along with Hana Al-Alawi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, activist Bushra Al-Mahtouri, and the officials responsible for the square, provided explanations on the advancements in preparing the water and electricity sectors, as well as the remaining lighting tasks through the installation of light searchlights.
The Minister of Electricity directed to provide and install light searchlights in the square that has been developed next to the central square at the Military Academy and work to illuminate them urgently.
