Hodeida - Saba:
Sanitation and Improvement Fund in Hodeida province on Sunday honored 45 sanitation and afforestation workers, along with several awareness department employees. This recognition celebrated their dedicated efforts throughout the year.
Governor Abdullah Atifi praised the workers' vital role in protecting the environment and public health, calling them the "true face of cities."
He emphasized that cleanliness is a shared community responsibility and stressed the importance of improving the workers' living conditions, referring to them as "unknown soldiers" who silently contribute to the city's splendor.
Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi affirmed the governorate's commitment to supporting this sector.
Abdulnasser al-Sharif, Executive Director of the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund, stated that the honoring aims to boost morale and foster institutional solidarity.
He also highlighted the Fund's plans for an institutional insurance project for all employees and urged local media to promote public awareness about cleanliness.
Yasser Hamim, head of the Cleanliness Fund Workers and Employees Union, expressed gratitude for the gesture, seeing it as a significant moral incentive. He underscored the union's role in advocating for workers' demands and improving their work environment.
