BEIRUT July 31. 2024 (Saba) - Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati late on Tuesday said his country condemns the Zionist aggression on the southern suburbs of Beirut and considers it a link in a series of aggressive operations.
"We put the Zionist aggression before the international community to assume its responsibilities and oblige Israel to stop its aggression," Mikati said in press statements.
For his part, Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib expressed his condemnation of the Zionist aggression on the southern suburbs of Beirut, stressing that Lebanon intends to file a complaint with the United Nations.
Bou Habib said in a statement to Reuters that he hopes for a proportionate response from Hezbollah to stop "this wave of killing."
