Gaza - Saba:
Fifteen human rights organizations warned the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation of potential complicity in war crimes in Gaza, calling for an end to its operations, which are witnessing chaos and casualties.
In an open letter on Tuesday, the organizations said: "This new model of aid distribution, by a private, armed entity, represents a radical and dangerous change compared to established international humanitarian operations."
It condemned what it described as an "inhumane and deadly" system, calling on all parties and individuals who have supported or are supporting the organization's work at distribution centers to cease its activities.
It warned that failure to do so would expose these organizations, their officials, representatives, and agents to criminal and civil liability for complicity in crimes under international law, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, or genocide, and violations of international law, US law, and other international law.
The United Nations and humanitarian NGOs refuse to work with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, an organization with opaque funding supported by the United States and the occupying entity, due to concerns about its procedures and impartiality.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, 467 citizens have been killed and approximately 3,602 others injured since the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation began distributing aid in late May while trying to reach distribution points.
